Arterial Blood Gas Samplers SyringeABG™ & CapillaryABG™
Electrolyte-balanced lithium heparin syringes and capillary tubes for accurate, low-interference arterial blood gas sampling — from cath lab to blood gas analyzer.
SyringeABG™ arterial blood gas samplers, 1 mL / 2 mL / 3 mLOne Line for Pre-Analytical Accuracy
Our blood gas sampling line covers the two main arterial sampling routes — syringes and capillary tubes. Both use lyophilized, electrolyte-balanced lithium heparin applied through controlled processes, so heparin is bound to the sample immediately and interference with measured values is kept to a minimum.
The result is a complete, consistent workflow: rapid collection in the ward or cath lab, minimal bubbles and cavities, and analytical performance that stays stable over a longer period with less maintenance.
- Syringe rangeSyringeABG™ — 1, 2 and 3 mL; preset, safety-needle and aspirating versions
- Capillary rangeCapillaryABG™ — approximately 240 μL micro sample volume with L-L and L-C adapters
- HeparinElectrolyte-balanced lithium heparin, lyophilized (<15 IU/mL for syringes)
- CompatibilityDesigned for blood gas analyzers accepting syringe or capillary samples
SyringeABG™ — 1 mL, 2 mL and 3 mL configurationsArterial Blood Gas Sampler
SyringeABG™ uses electrolyte-balanced lithium heparin at less than 15 IU/mL, applied through an exclusive three-step spraying process. Heparin is bound to blood immediately after it enters the syringe, minimizing the risk of clot formation in the sample.
The lyophilized heparin layer adheres uniformly to the inner wall, dissolves rapidly and inactivates minimally — supporting reliable anticoagulation for arterial blood samples from a variety of patients.

Engineered for Reliable ABG Results
Three-Step Heparin Spraying
Exclusive three-step process (inner wall, 0–0.5 mL and 0.5–1.6 mL zones) ensures blood is bound to heparin immediately after entering the syringe, minimizing clot formation.
Lyophilization Reliability
Lyophilized molecular-grade heparin adheres uniformly to the inner wall, dissolves rapidly and inactivates minimally — reliable anticoagulation across a variety of patients.
Excellent Exhausting Performance
The large-area air-permeable hydrogel component enables rapid exhausting and rapid blood collection, reducing bubbles and cavities in the sample.
Electrolyte-Balanced Workflow
Micro-volume balanced heparin minimizes bias on positive ions such as Ca⁺⁺, Na⁺ and K⁺ — higher analytical performance over longer periods with less maintenance.
Maximize Simplicity, Minimize Error
Preset, ready-to-use design maximizes operator simplicity and minimizes pre-analytical error at the point of sampling.
Complete Syringe Portfolio
One platform covering preset, safety-needle and aspirating syringes across 1, 2 and 3 mL, with filter cap and soft blue / orange tip cap options.
CapillaryABG™ — micro sample volume of approximately 240 μLMicro Blood Gas Sampler
CapillaryABG™ makes arterial blood gas sampling more accurate, quicker and less painful for patients. The capillary siphon effect allows simple, fast filling even under low arterial pressure, with balanced heparin coated on the inner wall to prevent coagulation and preserve electrolyte values.
Good hydrophilicity helps prevent air bubbles and cavities, while the ~240 μL micro sample volume effectively reduces iatrogenic blood loss. A small gauge needle lowers trauma and the risk of hematoma.

Simpler, Faster, Less Invasive
Micro Sample Volume
A sample volume of approximately 240 μL effectively reduces iatrogenic blood loss, which matters for neonatal and repeated-sampling patients.
No Air Bubbles & Cavities
Capillary with good hydrophilicity, helping to prevent bubbles and cavities that could distort blood gas results.
Excellent Anticoagulation
High potency lyophilized balanced heparin prevents coagulation and preserves electrolyte values throughout collection and transport.
Simpler & Faster Collection
Capillary siphoning enables simpler and faster blood collection, even under low arterial pressure.
Small Gauge Needle
Reduces trauma and the risk of hematoma, and is compatible with most blood gas analyzers that accept capillary samples.
User-Friendly Design
Plastic protector design with L-L and L-C adapters, available with needle, without needle, or with a safety needle cap.
